Rotary Race Night 2013
92 people paid a visit to Ascot, Sandown, and Fontwell Park Race Courses upon Saturday 2nd February, all from the comfort of a chair, at the Conservative Club when the Rotary Club held their annual Charity Race Night.
Fortified by a meal of local Bangers and Mash, with a suitable tipple, bets were placed in units of 50 pence, so no one cleaned up or were cleaned out over the nine races. Ever popular Derek Rutter organised the technical side, while club members looked after the punters, and the Bar Staff were their usual friendly and efficient mode.
The profits from the evening will be ploughed back into a variety of charities over the next year.
