Exciting News & Updates

The lead-up to Christmas was a whirlwind of community spirit and festive magic for Kinross & District Rotary! From Santa’s sleigh bells to recycling for a cause, here is how we closed out a fantastic year:

Santa's Sleigh: Bringing Magic to Every Street

Despite some "foul" Scottish weather, the Santa Sleigh remained the heart of our festive season. We heard your feedback and introduced QR codes and card machines to keep up with our cashless world.

While takings were slightly down this year, we still raised an incredible £3,500! A massive thank you to the eight local clubs who braved the cold to help us—they will all receive donations for their own community projects. We couldn't have done it without the "stop point" supporters and the team at Drysdale Motorcycles, whose modifications made the sleigh safer and more accessible for every child.

Sensory Success at Sainsbury's

On 20th December, the sleigh took over the Sainsbury’s car park for a day of photos and festive cheer. Accompanied by the beautiful sounds of Leven Voices, we raised over £700 in a single day! Every penny of this goes directly to our fund to equip the brand-new Sensory Room at the refurbished Rachel House.

Spreading Joy with Broke Not Broken

In a wonderful collaboration with Carlton Bingo Dunfermline and fellow Fife Rotarians, we took part in a massive gift collection drive. Thanks to this initiative, we were able to distribute 65 gifts locally through the amazing team at Broke Not Broken, ensuring the magic of Christmas reached families right here in our community.
