Rotary held another Easter activity event for the children of Shipston on Easter Saturday. It was very well supported with over 50 children attending. They enjoyed making Easter cards, decorating Easter biscuits, planting Sunflower seeds, eating yummy cakes and hoping to win a prize in the Easter Egg raffle.
They were fascinated to see how dirty water was filtered to make it clean drinking water in the Aquabox.
In addition, a "Cuckoo in the Nest" competition was staged in the town centre shops. Each partcipating shop put something in their window that did not belong there (e.g. a banana in a shoe shop) and children were challenged to spot them all. Completed forms were then assessed and the winning entry was drawn by the Club President. A giant Easter Egg was first prize with all partcipants receiving a Creme Egg. We are most grateful to Shipston Mid-Counties Co-op and Mrs Margarte Gill for their sonsorship of this event.
A great time was had by all, including the organisers, and we hope to stage the events in the coming year
