Our President for 2024/25 is Philip Roberts, a retired Chartered Surveyor who a enjoyed a 43-year career across a variety of private & public sector organisations, most recently as a Director of Advantage West Midlands, the Regional Development Agency.
The club follows the aims of Rotary through fellowship, and provides help and support to local community organisations on a rolling 3-year cycle. In recent years, the Club has supported local charities including: St. Basils, Carers Careline, Batchley Support Group and Where Next?
Our support for Where Next? - which has just celebrated its 40th birthday - will continue during the 2024/25 Rotary year. https://www.where-next.org.uk
In addition, the club will be working with local schools to promote the Rotary Young Artist competition, and a Design & Innovation competition involving local high schools.
Our efforts to support international communities will be achieved through our continuing partnership with 'Tools With a Mission' (TWAM) which collects redundant tools and refurbishes them for use by communities across central Africa. https://www.twam.uk
We will increase our engagement and collaboration with other local clubs, especially Redditch Kingfisher, as a way of increasing impact locally, and offering different models of membership for prospective Rotarians.
