The Rotary Club of Nuneaton marked its 100th anniversary with an evening of celebration at the Weston Hall Hotel, joined by more than 60 guests and friends. Dignitaries from the District and sister clubs across District 1060 were also in attendance, helping to make the evening a truly memorable occasion.
Rotarian Chris Montford opened the event with a captivating presentation on the club’s rich history, reflecting on a century of service to the community. Guests were then treated to entertainment from talented local singer and entertainer, Tammy King.
The evening began with a welcoming glass of bubbly before attendees enjoyed a superb three-course meal. President David Lloyd addressed the room with a heartfelt speech, recognising the profound contribution Rotary has made to Nuneaton and North Warwickshire over the past 100 years. He highlighted standout events from this milestone year, including the Matt Ford Concert and the Unsung Hero Afternoon Tea, and shared thoughtful reflections on what the club’s founder members might think if they visited today.
The District Governor also spoke, commending the Rotary Club of Nuneaton for its longstanding impact within the district and offering encouragement for the next century of service.
Overall, the evening was a fitting tribute to 100 years of dedication, fellowship, and community spirit—an uplifting celebration of Rotary’s past achievements and its bright future ahead.
