Rotarian David Lloyd outside the Horestone Grange Chip Shop, Nuneaton
Nuneaton Rotary has responded quickly to the need for aid following the earthquake in Turkey/Syria. We have donated £500 from our charity fund to Shelter Box who provide temporary accommodation for those who have lost everything.
We are extremely grateful to Alex and Anastasia at the Horestone Fish and Chip shop for allowing us to make a public collection in the shop ( see photo) The response has been very pleasing.
Members also had a meal at Om's restaurant in Nuneaton and raised a further £75.(Please see the additional photograph attached)Members have also given personal donations.
When all this extra money has been collected in, we are sending it to the Rotary Clubs in Turkey.
They know where the need is greatest and we can be sure that our money is being used wisely.
