Having watched the Antiques Roadshow for many years we thought it would be easy.....!
Members of Nuneaton Rotary club were entertained on
Monday evening with a game called “Fun with Antiques” brought to us by Janet
Wroe and her assistant - another Janet.
Divided into 4 teams ,we handled and
closely examined a series of small antique items - ranging from a silver pocket
watch to an electric train - and we then had to guess their value.
Success was
varied to say the least! But the winning team managed to get fairly close.
Not
so the rest of us!
It was an amusing and entertaining game and thoroughly enjoyed
by all.
The meeting was attended by
Assistant Governor Alan Taylor …who was on the team who came last !!
Many thanks to the two Janets, and congratulations to the winners.
