2020 has been a year where contact between many of our "older" members was not a good idea, yes we have had a few "Zoom" meetings, but normally mambers exchange Christmas cards at meetings during December.
This year, our members felt that instead of spending money on cards, they would rather help a local charity, especially because so many low-income families will be struggling to buy toys for their children.
Of course with many of our members isolating, everyone was given a choice of options, either purchase and donate a toy or two, or if that was not possible, give a monetary donation to our President David Lloyd, and his wife Liz, and they would use the money to purchase suitable presents on behalf of those members.
Rotarian Liz Lloyd is pictured with many of the toys obtained by the members of The Rotary Club of Nuneaton.
Liz will be taking these for the Salvation Army to distribute to make some children very happy this Christmas !
The final picture shows Liz successfully delivering the toys to the Salvation Army in Nuneaton.
