Rotary Club of Nuneaton Supports Ruby's Yard with £250 Donation
The Rotary Club of Nuneaton is proud to support organisations such as Ruby's Yard that make a real difference in our local community.
The Rotary Club of Nuneaton is delighted to support the fantastic work of Ruby's Yard CIC with a donation of £250 to help continue its valuable work across the North Warwickshire community.
At the Club's recent business meeting, members welcomed Jacky Gordon, who gave an inspiring presentation on the history of Ruby's Yard and how it has grown into a welcoming, inclusive space that is accessible to everyone. Jacky spoke passionately about the organisation's mission to provide opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to connect with nature, learn new skills, and enjoy the unique canal side environment.
Following the presentation, Past President David Lloyd was pleased to present the donation to Jacky on behalf of the Rotary Club of Nuneaton.
Ruby's Yard has become a valued community resource, with many local organisations benefiting from the use of its facilities. The recently established volunteer run Paddling Club is set to expand and grow following Ruby's Yard CIC's successful application to Sport England's Movement Fund. The funding will provide more specialised equipment and enable the training of additional volunteer instructors, creating even more opportunities for people in the local community to enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits of spending time on the water.
