Plans are now in place for the annual Wilmslow Swimathon which we will again be organising in Spring
2019.
We are continuing on the basis that
the teams can keep all the sponsorship money they raise and decide themselves
how they wish to spend it for the benefit of the local community or other good
cause. There will however be a small entry fee of £15 per team to help pay for
the event's expenses. If any team decides to donate their sponsorship money to
the Club's Trust Fund for us to donate to local good causes, then there would
be no entry fee involved. The event typically raises around £4,000 for your
chosen charities/good causes which is excellent.
There are 2 sets of times for the
swimming. The main event is at the weekend (Saturday 23 and 30 March), but some
midweek sessions (Wednesday 20 and 27 March) have been added for schools if
more convenient.
We hope you will be able to join us, and if you
are interested in getting involved in Swimathon 2019, please let us know and we
will send out the entry forms and other information as it becomes available. Please contact us at wilmslowswimathon@gmail.com.
