Wigan Rotary Satellite Group meet again
On a beautiful day recently a group of twelve made up of Wigan Rotarians, potential new members of the soon to be formed Satellite Group, guests, three children and a dog met up for a walk in the Park - Orrell Water Park to be exact, where they also enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea. A great afternoon was had by all in the great outdoors. The Satellite Group plan to meet again on Tuesday the 28th May at Forbes on the Lane, Wigan Lane, WN1 at 7 pm for 7.30pm. Why not come and join them? Contact details are on the website or email wiganrotary1924@virginmedia.com
This satellite group is aimed primarily at busy and active young people of working age but will be open and welcoming to all. The group intends to maximise use of 21st century technology and social media and will offer social, community, sporting and travel opportunities to its members.
Getting involved with Rotary will hopefully give new members new skills and experience which will be useful in their present and future careers in the workplace. The group will be run in a fun and informal manner and will meet regularly and flexibly at local pubs and restaurants. The group will operate within the already very successful Wigan Rotary club and it will help provide valuable support to existing activities and fundraising.
