Rotarians supporting the Joining Jack event
Once again Wigan Rotarians helped with a Wigan Community Charity event - the Run Wigan Festival supporting the Joining Jack Charity .
They passed out water bottles and gel out to over 1300 amazing runners , got soaked through , hailed on, muddied and then cleared up what felt like more than 1300 empty or part empty water bottles and gel packets from the sodden grass and muddy gulleys.
Then staggered the 15 minutes back to Plantation Gates after unsuccessfully trying to hitch a lift on the hospital bed which passed us on the way back .
A very rewarding and tiring day .
