Volunteer with us in Wigan
We’re looking for volunteers to get involved with Community Circles to support older people who are living in care homes in Wigan, as either a volunteer Circle facilitator or volunteer Circle member.
Circle Facilitators help to organise the monthly meetings and to keep the circle focused. They facilitate the monthly meetings by supporting the conversation, sharing ideas and helping the circle to identify specific actions from their conversation. The actions will help the person to do more of the things that really matter to them and help them to keep connected to their community. This role takes 2-3 hours a month.
Circle members attend each monthly circle meeting, share ideas and knowledge of local networks, and may take part in actions that make a positive difference in the person’s life.
No experience is required, and we look for people from diverse backgrounds.
