Over 300 men and boys took part in this years RUN4ALIFE event held on 20th September in Haigh Hall Country Park.
Organised by Wigan Rotary Club, the Men Only Fun Run, now in its fourth year, has seen an increase in the number of entries each year, with all the money raised being donated for research into testicular and prostate cancers.
Bob Inglis the President of the Rotary Club thanked all those who took part in this year's event, and confirmed a booking has already been made for next year. He continued ' Over 2000 young men are affected each year with testicular cancer, and currently one man dies every hour in the UK from prostate cancer. Despite these figures less than half the money is spent on research into men's cancers than into women's cancers. I would ask all those who took part to raise as much sponsorship as they can so we can beat last years donation of
