Pegasus Explorer Scouts

We had an unusual number of speakers this week. Our guest speakers were four Explorer Scouts and their leaders from the newly formed Pegasus Explorer Scout Unit. It was the first time the Explorers had presented in public and they did a fantastic job. They explained the that they had all reached the age when they had to leave their Scout Troop and move to a District Explorer Unit. However, they were all clearly proud of the achievements they had made whilst at 1^st Astley Scouts and all had refused to move and requested to set up their own Explorer Group. So with the support of their leaders and after several months hard work of campaigning and planning they Unit opened in April 2011. The Explorers gave us a look back on the past achievements of 1^st Astley Scouts, which over the last 18mths alone has included:
