What a fantastic Awards night as the evening showcased and described the events which took place during the course of the year as . The event organised and coordinated by Community chair Anne Sampson and IPP and schools Liaison Wilna Roger saw students from the High Schools awarded and presented with certificates, trophies and wallet of notes.
Samples of the students work was displayed around the room allwing everyone to see and appreciate the talent
With 100 people attending the evening Young Musician Instrumentalist winner on the bagpipes Conner Pratt and vocalist Michael Mclean entertained the guests.
Jenny Gilruth MSP presented the awards. Jenny who previously worked in education gave an uplifing talk to the guests. she was amazed at the talent from the local High Schools and recalled her own school days when she went to Camp RYLA - The Rotary Youth Leadership awards programme wher firm and lasting friendships were cemented!
Gilvenbank Community Sports Hub Chair Kenny Crichton was presented with a cheque for £2000 being the main beneficiary of the recently held Sportsman's dinner.
District 1010 Governor Roddy Duncan and his wife will have travelled over 200 miles to attend also Anne Mitchell assistant Governor and Rotarian husband Harry from the Rotary Club of Kirkcaldy.
High School rectors and staff along with competition judges and some parents and Rotarians and also Collydean Primary school pupils who won the Primary school Quiz competition .
A special mention to ~Kassy Watt from Auchmuty High School who won the 1st prize in the District competition in the Intermediate section of Young Photographer
Thanks fo to Gilvenbank Hotel for the fabulous two course meal served on the evening and to the waiting staff whho helped the evening run smoothly
