On Thursday 16th April 2015 President Chris Grist welcomed 22 Club Rotarians to this lunch time meeting held at the Gilvenbank Hotel.
Four apologies for absence were received.
On reception this week was Roy Francey who said grace, John Galloway and Alan Strath.
It was announced that the recent Sportsman’s Dinner raised £3800 many thanks to all who organized and supported the event by attending on the night or by donating prizes for the auction or raffle, the main recipient being for Cancer Research Scotland.
In regards to the ongoing Sri Lankan project Arlene Kidd advised that she would be going out to Sri Lanka in May and that she would be following up on the International water sampling which was to be done at the University close to the site.
This was the clubs AGM where President Chris Grist advised members of the Council Chairs for next year as follows.
President for 2015-2016 will be Wilna Roger, President Elect Brian Johnston, President Nominee to be advised, Treasurer Walter Fletcher, Sheila Matthews has agreed to take over as the clubs secretary in place of Ian Hastie who will be moving home to the West of Scotland in the not so distant future. Our speaker this week on the 23rd April 2015 will be Community Inspector Derek Paxton
The Rotary Vote of thanks will be given by Wilna Roger.
Next week’s meeting on the 23rd April 2015 our meeting has been moved and will be held at Pinkerton’s function suite commencing at 12.55pm
