On Thursday 11th September 2014 President Chris Grist welcomed 20 Club Rotarians to this lunch time meeting held at the Gilvenbank Hotel.
Eight apologies for absence were received.
Will Wishart again announced that the first match in the Gavel Competition against Dunfermline Carnegie will take place at the Gilvenbank Hotel on Wednesday 17th September 2014.
President Elect Wilna Roger distributed a copy of our leaflet to each member requesting that any updates should be sent to President Chris before next Council meeting on the 8th October 2014.
A request has been received from District for members to consider going to training to become a District Officer. Further information is available from President Chris.
The Annual Rotary Presidents Golf Day was held on Wednesday the 10th September at Thornton Golf Club where Rotarians and Friend s enjoyed a great day of golf, fellowship and fun. Lars Christiansen won the competition beating Ian Hastie on the better inward half each scoring 33 stableford points and winning the Trophy which he made 7 years ago. The guest prize went to Malcolm Thomson, brother in law of IPP Tracy.
This week was Council reports where the members receiving updates from the Council Chairs about their ongoing projects.
This coming week on Thursday 18th September 2014 will be at Gilvenbank Hotel with the meeting commencing at 12.55pm, the speaker this week will be Aisha Al
