Dear Fellow Rotarians and Friends of Forres Rotary, Welcome to the first newsletter of the new Rotary year. The Rotary theme for this year is Rotarians, “Making a Difference”. Six years ago I was delighted to join Forres Rotary as it was a club I saw making a difference locally and internationally. RI President, Ian Risely, is urging us to strengthen our club and with the help of my enthusiastic and committed team
I am sure we will be able to deliver projects that will enhance our reputation in the local community and gain membership. To do this Forres Rotary must be seen to be relevant to those who are embracing our changing world. This may require us to be flexible to ensure that we move forward and be seen to be vibrant and attractive to both existing and new members.
Over the last year it has been great to witness the growing respect for what we do. The use of social media has helped increase our profile and we must continue to look for innovative ways to enhance our public image. I am honoured to have been asked to be your President and I look forward to working with you all to continue to “Make a Difference” in both our community and internationally.
Sheena MacGillivray President 2017-18
