Key Points from the Business Meeting 25/02/25

Present- Ray Edwardson( Chair), Ray Bointon, Les Clancy, Les Greenall, Len Rainford, Alan Robinson, Steve Owen, John Kilshaw, Rebecca Gallagher, Phil Round, John Graves, Geoff Fisher, Barry Curran, David Smith, John Shaw, Harry Steven, Richard York and Geoff Shaw. (18 in attendance)

1. Les Clancy proposed a donation to cover the costs circa of the Young Chef candidate’s travel and ingredient costs and also to pay for a cap and apron. This was seconded by John Shaw. 18 For : 0 Against

2. Les Clancy proposed a donation for the Lourdes Pilgrimage from Hope Academy.This was seconded by Len Rainford. For 16 : 0 Against : 2 Abstentions

3. Barry Curran proposed a Donation to support the Million Meal Miracle. This was seconded by Les Clancy. For 18 : Against

4. There will be a meeting to discuss meeting venues and catering options in the near future.

5. Alan Robinson is working on the IT issues surrounding the difficulty in accessing the website for outside agencies to request funding.

6. Geoff Shaw reminded members that he would be standing down as Secretary on 31/12/25. Interested members may wish to contact him if they are interested in the role.

7. The Mayor of St Helens Jeanette Banks is due to visit for luncheon the 29th April, when there will be a speaker from the Young Carers Charity her nominated Charity for her year in office.
