VISIT TO JODRELL BANK

Thu, Nov 14th 2024 at 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Club visit to visitor centre and dome show.

The international team is organising our November social which is a trip to Jodrell Bank.

This is of course open to partners and friends. A pre-booked group visit has been organised which will start at 11.00 am.

The cost is £11 per member (which is discounted). For this the group will get to go around the visitors centre and look at the telescopes. There is a "dome" show at 12 o'clock which is a bit like a reclined cinema experience. This will be an optional £5 for the experience.

Afterwards there is a really good cafe with great food. We can pre-book a hot soup, bread roll and hot drink for £7.

If you want further details have a look at this link https://www.jodrellbank.net/visit/

It is about a 45 minute drive from Newton.

No money required at this stage but would you let me know craigroberts71@gmail.com -

You can of course choose your own food from the menu or take a packed lunch. There is a large car park which is free to use with 20 accessibility spaces closest to the building. Wheelchairs are available, let me know if you would like one arranged. The site is quite large but all buildings have level access with automatic doors.
