Our guest speaker is Leena Chagla, the President of the Association of Breast Surgery. Miss Chagla is an experienced general surgeon. She is the lead Clinician for Breast Services at Fairfield Independent Hospital and is also the lead clinician for Breast Services within her NHS post at St Helens and Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. She is head of the Burney Breast Unit at Whiston Hospital.

She will be speaking about breast cancer in our locality and the work she has been doing to equip and train two hospitals in Zimbabwe to provide breast cancer services. Such a diagnosis in Zimbabwe has a very low probability of survival. Anyone receiving treatment for breast cancer within St Helens & Knowsley will be under her care.
