Decisions and Key points from the Business Meeting 27/08/24

18 members and 2 guests in attendance.

Present- Ray Edwardson (Chair), Ray Bointon, Les Greenall, Les Clancy, John Shaw, Ken Smith, Ian Parr, David Smith, Len Rainford, Steve Owen, John Graves,  Stuart Ainscough, Harry Steven, John Morse, Alan Robinson, Derek Hirst, Phil Round, Geoffrey Shaw.

1. Proposal to improve the light and sound system on the Christmas Float. Proposed by Alan Robinson and Seconded by Ian Parr. 18 for, non against and no abstentions.

2. There was a discussion about support of the NWGA annual show, the outcome of this was that GS would contact the association to ask what level of support they wished for and what it would be spent on.

3. Support for the Million Meal Miracle was discussed and this would be brought back to the next meeting for further assessment.

4. Proposal to donate  African Adventure. Two instalments-one now  and what at Christmas. Proposed by Ray Edwardson and Seconded by Geoff Shaw. 18 for, non against and no abstentions.

5. Proposal for a small budget for the membership event on 12/09/24. Proposed by John Graves and Seconded by David Smith. 18 for, non against and no abstentions.

6. Phil Round requested members to consider suitable locations and community groups to assist in this years crocus corm planting as part of our End Polio Now awareness.
