LUNCH MEETING

Tue, Aug 6th 2024 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Venue: HPGC.
Speaker: PDG ERIC RUSSELL - THE MILLION MEAL MIRACLE.
Fellowship Stewards: PHIL ROUND + JOHN SHAW.

17 members attended lunch.

Today our lunchtime speaker was Past District Governor Eric Russell who spoke to our members about The Million Meal Miracle, a project associated with Feed the Hungry who specialise in food packing events.

The Million Meal Miracle aims to engage 200 schools in meal-packing events. These prepared meals will be dispatched to trusted partners in Zimbabwe and Somaliland and distributed to provide essential warm meals to children in schools and orphanages.

Over the next two years the charity is aiming to pack 1 million meals but will need the financial support of businesses and clubs like our own.

Excuse the pun but this has given us some food for thought as to how we might support this project with the possibility of getting our local schools involved.
