CLUB VISIT TO SAFETY CENTRAL, LYMM

Thu, Feb 8th 2024 at 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

A visit to the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's award winning education centre.

Members of the club visited Safety Central, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service's award-winning education centre, just off the A50 close to Lymm services.

The centre is a £4.5 million indoor village boasting world-class special effects and the latest technology to simulate a range of hazards and risks. Visitors are led through four themed zones and are engaged in activities that encourage learning through hands on experience.

In addition to preventing fires the centre explores safety on the roads, in the community and online as well as mental health, diversity and inclusion and citizenship issues.

The centre offers free learning programmes for schools, colleges, youth or community groups and our members found it a very worthwhile experience with positive feedback.
