LUNCH MEETING

Tue, Jan 30th 2024 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Venue: HPGC.
Speaker: GRAHAM YARDLEY: INTERACT CLUBS
Fellowship Stewards: STUART AINSCOUGH = RAY BOINTON.

Our guest speaker today was Rotarian Graham Yardley visiting us from Bolton le Moors. Graham was instrumental in setting up an Interact Club with Sharples School in 2014. Since then the club has gone from strength to strength and Graham provided an insight to club members as to how the club was set up, resources and support necessary from his local Rotary Club of Bolton-le- Moors.
His talk certainly provoked some interest from within the club and Youth Services Chair, Les Clancy, will be working with two local schools who have expressed an interest to form an Interact club. The Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning, Phil Paul from one of the schools, Byrchall High, Ashton was in attendance and also addressed the club in support.
