DISTRICT FOUNDATION DINNER, ALTRINCHAM

Mon, Nov 20th 2023 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Four of our club members attended this event.

This years District Foundation Evening was organized by Altrincham Rotary and was well-organised and attended by around 85 people, providing excellent fellowship opportunities.

The first speaker was Shreyas Pradham, an International scholar from Japan who spoke about his work in Urban and Town Planning in Japan and his proposed research as an MSc student at the university of Manchester.

The second speaker of the evening was PDG Ian Priestly, who gave an excellent overview of Rotary Cadre. These are Technically skilled groups of Rotarians who volunteer to use their professional skills and technical expertise in Rotary’s seven areas of focus to advise Rotarians who are planning and working on Rotary Foundation grant projects.

Cadre comprises over 700 members from 75 countries who speak more than 80 languages? Awards were provided to several clubs, and there was a raffle draw for the Foundation.

Four of our Rotarians attended the event.
