At lunch today our speaker was Angela Edwards from the St Helen's Deafness and Resource Centre. She outlined the history and the role of the centre and the services it provides. She also demonstrated some of the equipment that is available for people with hearing issues.

At The Deafness Resource Centre (DRC), the team is dedicated to providing support, resources, and services to individuals who are D/deaf*, as well as their families and friends. The centre is a hub of information, assistance, & community for the D/deaf population in St. Helens, Halton, Knowsley and the surrounding areas.
The mission is to empower individuals with hearing loss to live fulfilling and independent lives and understands the unique challenges faced by the D/deaf community, The DRC strives to break down barriers and promote inclusivity in all aspects of life.
