Venue: HPGC.
Speaker: John Unsworth, Janet Shelton, Joshua Valentine.: Newton-le-Willows Sea Cadets.
Fellowship Stewards: GEOFF FISHER + JOHN GRAVES

Our visitors at our lunch meeting today were from the Newton- le-Willows Sea Cadets, an organisation the club has established links with over the years.

The Sea Cadets is a uniformed youth organisation based on the traditions and values of the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, with the goal of the organisation being to equip teenagers with all the things they need to cope with and enjoy the big and changing world they are growing into.

At Newton-le-Willows the aim is to give young people an experience that will help them grow into the person they want to be in a safe and friendly environment. Through various activities and adventures, the cadets learn teamwork, respect, loyalty, self-confidence, commitment, self-discipline, honesty and how to be the best version of themselves. On offer is a range of different activities from sailing, windsurfing and powerboating - to rock climbing, camping, and music - plus, so much more! At Newton-le-Willows cadets are also able to gain different qualifications that they can take with them once they leave the Sea Cadets!

The Sea Cadets is made up of 3 divisions, each encompassing different age ranges.
Junior Cadets (10-12)
Sea Cadets (12-18)
Royal Marines Cadets (13-18)
