BUSINESS MEETING

Members meet to vote on proposals from committees and discuss other club matters.
Buffet from 6.45pm.


At this evening's meeting the following donations were agreed by club members:
1. Donation to the Viaduct Club, Earlestown, for hosting the beer festival. Proposer Derek Hirst, Seconder Les Greenall.
2. Donation to the British Heart Foundation following a recent club talk by Jim Dolan. Proposer Ian Parr, Seconder Les Clancy.
3. Donation to NADOS following their performance at the beer festival. Proposer Alan Robinson, Seconder Derek Hirst.
4. Donation to Newton-le-Willows Swimming Club to support training of instructors. Proposer John Morse, Seconder Ian Parr.
5. It was agreed to purchase 4000 Crocus Corms to support  End Polio Now. Proposer Ian Parr, Seconder Les Clancy.
A working group will be set up to decide how these will be distributed in the community.
5. It was agreed to renew the sponsorship deal with Newton-AFC. This two year deal will give us access and publicity to community businesses and groups. Proposer John Morse, Seconder John Shaw.
6. A donation was given to Graham's Great Outdoor Challenge - a District fundraising activity. Proposer Ian Parr, Seconder Les Greenall. 

All SIX proposals were unanimously agreed by members present.
