LUNCH MEETING

Tue, May 16th 2023 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

VENUE: HPGC
SPEAKER: TERRY MAGUIRE, BUSINESS FOR YOUTH, WA12 IN CRISIS-Update
FELLOWSHIP STEWARDS: BOB THOMSON + BRIAN WOODWARD

Today's speaker was Terry Maguire, local businessman, independent councillor for Earlestown, St Helens and founder of Business for Youth and more latterly, WA12 in Crisis.

He gave a brief update on both Business for Youth and WA12 in Crisis and the rationale as to why this latter organisation had been set up. (There are more details on our Working with the Community section on this website).

Terry, by Rotary standards, is firmly in the category PEOPLE OF ACTION and the activities that were done before, during and after the pandemic, has provided both vital support to the community and citizenship to the young people of our borough.

The club will continue to support both these organisations.

At the end of the meeting Terry congratulated the club on receiving the Mayor's recognition award for service in the community.
