BUSINESS MEETING

Business meeting to accept proposals from committees. VENUE: HPGC. FELLOWSHIP STEWARDS: CHANTELLE SEABORN + BOB THOMSON
Note there will be no buffet before this meeting.



Summary of Business Meeting: 20th September 2022    Haydock Park Golf Club
Attendance:  President Alan Pomfret and 24 members
International Committee ( Ray Edwardson ) 
It was proposed that the Club purchase 30 packs of Polio Plus Christmas cards at a cost of approx. £150. This was seconded and passed unanimously
A proposal to make a donation to the Rotary Pakistan Relief fund was passed with a majority in favour and one vote against , no abstentions
 Community Service ( Len Rainford )
A proposal towards the cost of Hanging Baskets for Newton High Street was seconded and passed unanimously.
The proposed donation to Starlight Dancers is to be investigated further before being put to the club 
Knit & Natter Group – a donation towards materials was proposed , seconded and passed unanimously 
Youth Services Committee ( Les Clancy )
There were no donations proposed this month
Executive Committee (Stuart Ainscough)
A proposal for a donation to Newton Sports Club for a new PA system was seconded and passed unanimously.
Beer Festival Committee 
It was proposed that a donation be made to the Viaduct Club following the Beer Festival . This was seconded and passed unanimously
Any Other Business 
It was noted that we are no longer able to hold Business meetings at St. Patricks Club. It was proposed that we hold our Business meeting at the Golf Club in future until an alternative can be found. This was passed by a majority vote with one vote against and eight abstentions.
Rotary Storage Cupboard – it was agreed by the meeting that the Secretary and Immediate Past Pres. should reorganise the storage and dispense with any items deemed to no longer be required.
There was no further business.
