Thu, Mar 5th 2020 at 1:00 pm- Sat, Apr 25th 2020 - 12:00 pm

We are again supporting the St Helen's Creative Writing Competition which is slightly different this year.

This year's competition is changed from previous years. There are three age groups giving the opportunity for young adults to enter. The theme is about fairy tales as the following extract from the publicity material explains:

Twist on aTale

This years competition gives students the opportunity to give a classic fairy tale a modern twist or alternatively a chance to write your own myth or fable - in no more than 500 words.

Re-imagine stories of old to reflect our modern world. Get creative using their own personal twist to include location, heritage, interest and experiences.

Sp lets get writing!

There are three categories:

• 11 years and under

• 12 - 16 years

• 17 - 25 years

with three prizes up for grabs in each:

1st prize: £50 book token

2nd prize: £30 book token

3rd prize: £20 book token

Everyone has at least one story to tell...
