This was our first club zoom meeting with a guest speaker!
George English, A Rotarian from Kilmarnock Rotary gave a very interesting talk on the 400th Anniversary of the Mayflower which set sail in 1620. George had an ancestor, Richard Warren, who was a passenger on the ship which sailed from Plymouth in 1620.
His talk covered the events during the Reformation which led to the Pilgrims leaving for the new world: the voyage itself and the impact the Mayflower has had on Western civilisation since.
