It aims to:
My name is Steph Sherratt and I am Mum to 2 children, the eldest of which was diagnosed with Autism when he was 3 years old.
I have 18 years experience as a parent of a disabled child and 14 years experience of working with children, young people and adults who have social / communication requirements. I have an NVQ3 in child care and development which includes a module on SEN children.
It is my firm belief that there is a place in society for all of us and we all have our own unique talents and qualities which should be celebrated and embraced.
Diversity and difference are positive things and by raising awareness and effectively challenging the barriers to inclusion faced by our children I hope to make a real difference to the lives of families just like mine.
