Rotary Club spreads Valentine’s cheer at Friday afternoon social

The event, aimed at those aged 50 and above, continues to be a resounding success, despite initially being launched as a 10-week initiative in September 2021 to help bring people together post-Covid.

“We are all still young at heart,” said Ian Cochrane, who credits the club’s dedicated volunteers and DJ Danny Power for keeping the spirit alive.

The social, which runs every other Friday, offers an afternoon of entertainment for just £2, including two hot drinks, biscuits, and cake.

Attendees are encouraged to dust off their dancing shoes and enjoy the atmosphere.

The next gathering will take place at the Labour Club on Friday, February 28 from 2pm to 4pm.
