Supporting Young Carers

Selection Boxes for our local Young Carers

Our club recently supported the local Young Carers with Selection Boxes to be handed out at their Christmas Party. We were fortunate enough to meet some of the Young Carers and have our photo taken with them. The centre is an amazing place for young people to gather and support each other.

We received this letter from Joyce, who is the Treasurer and Trustee for Friends of Tameside Young Carers

Hello Judi and Steph.

Thank you for coming to Bennett Street yesterday evening where you both had the opportunity of seeing some of the Young Carers and the activities they are able to enjoy.

Dukinfield and Stalybridge Rotary have kindly donated funds which have been used to purchase 250 Selection Boxes to be given out including at the Young Carers Christmas Party next week, and in the run up to Christmas for those who can't attend.the party.

Joyce Howarth, our Chair, will be sending a formal letter of thanks on behalf of the Trustees in due course - but, in the meantime I am including 3 photographs to record the occasion. I have copied in Joyce, and also Martin Nield to include in our Facebook page, and Alison Cox from Morrisons, with thanks from the Trustees, who was very helpful in sourcing the Selection boxes on our behalf.
