Santa Stories Christmas 2020
Due to the pandemic Club members were unable to arrange tours of Dukinfield, Stalybridge and Mossley with Santa and supermarket collections. So Club members arranged for Mr & Mrs Santa to film Christmas stories for Youtube and set up a Justgiving page.
The 2020 pandemic made it impossible for the Club to arrange the usual street and supermarket collections with Mr and Mrs Santa so members had to think of another way of raising monies to fund their projects for the coming year. It was decided to collaborate with Santa to film a series of 10 Christmas stories to post on Youtube together with an introductory video to explain what was to happen. A Justgiving page was also set up and links posted on Facebook, Twitter and the Club's website. A friend of a member helped us to edit the videos to make them look more professional. These have been very well received and shared and donations are starting to roll in.

Club supports young Rotary Hero
more The Club presented a cheque for £100 & a Rotary Hero Award to Ella Warhurst of Mossley. She has raised funds for the NHS by selling homemade loom bands, stress balls & colouring packs. Ella has donated the money to Tameside Hospital's scanner appeal.
Local homeless group receives boost to funds
more The Club made a £250 donation to local homeless charity, Emmaus, to help them to continue with its valuable work in the local community.
Football kit for Stalybridge Celtic Blues
more Stalybridge Celtic Blues is a football team whose members have disabilities. When the club discovered that their existing kit was 3 years old they provided the funding to enable them to purchase replacements.
Dukinfield and Stalybridge helps supply PPE to Hospices and Care Services
more Thousands of masks and visors have been delivered to care homes and hospices in the North West due to collaborative funding from 20 Rotary Clubs, including Dukinfield and Stalybridge.
Local Heroes of the Covid Crisis recognised
more The Club held its first award ceremony on 12th November 2020 to recognise those in our local communities who have gone above and beyond to support people during the pandemic.
Rise Against Hunger February 2020
more Club members take part in the annual event to pack meals for children in third world countries, which allows them to attend school.

more A donation of £250 was given to Stalybridge Celtic Junior Football Club to help them with the provision of free school meals during the October half term.
Neighbouring Rotary Clubs join forces to help fund local and international causes
