ALTRINCHAM PROBUS CLUB

The Club was inaugurated, at the suggestion of the Rotary Club of Altrincham, on 20 April 1971. This first meeting was held at the Woodlands Hotel, Timperley.

The close relationship between the Probus and Rotary clubs has been maintained ever since. Each President of the Rotary Club of Altrincham automatically becomes Honorary President of the Altrincham Probus Club.

The object of the Club is to hold regular meetings for the purpose of promoting good fellowship and stimulating interest through talks, discussions and activities in a wide variety of subjects by club members and others. It shall be non-political, non-sectarian and non-racial.

The annual subscription is £56, plus, for new members an initial joining fee of £15. When attending meetings, members have the opportunity to make voluntary contributions to the Club's Charity Fund from which donations are made to local and national charities.
