REPORT ON WENSLEYDALE WANDER 2007

This year’s Wensleydale Wander was again a big success with over 250 entrants walking either the 22 or 12-mile routes. The weather was close to ideal, being dry and neither too hot nor too cold, but the three course meal at the end was still very popular!

The Wander is organised by the Rotary Club of Wensleydale, and the main charity to benefit this year was Herriot Hospice Homecare. Several of its members enjoyed the walk, including Kay Heseltine, Administrator, and Dr Rosie Page, Advisor. The President of Wensleydale Rotary Club, Dr Chris Wheatley, presented them with a cheque for £500 as an interim payment, with the expectation that a much larger amount will be given when all sponsorship money etc has been collected.

Photographs will be posted in Photo Galleries

NB NEXT YEARS WANDER WILL BE ON SATURDAY 26TH APRIL 2008 we hope to see you!
