The guest Speaker at the Club’s weekly meeting was Mrs. Sheila Tindle who is the Divisional Director of a Stock broking firm. She began her talk by describing her education and her motivation in entering the profession some 25 years ago. The work of a stockbroker was only vaguely understood by some members and she explained that she invests in securities and monies on behalf of private clients or institutional or corporate clients. She makes recommendations on the buying and selling of stocks as a result of her interpretation of the financial market based on information she receives from her analysts. Advice is given to clients by telephone, direct contact or review letters. Michael Weatherald gave the vote of thanks for the stimulating talk.
