Business meeting

Mon, Jan 7th 2008 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

After the Christmas Break the Club met to discuss the exciting programme for the next half year.  The Group Study Exchange team of four members and a Rotarian team leader from Nepal will stay in Wensleydale for part of their visit in April/May.  The District G.S.E. Team going to Nepal will give their Return Presentation on 13th. March. On 21st. January a Peace Scholar from Bradford University will address the Club. The latest Shelter Box the Club bought has been dispatched to a Disaster Area.  Sadly the need for these does not diminish and arrangements are currently made to raise funds to purchase more at £490 each. A Shelter Box appeal will be launched in Leyburn on 23rd. May. The gifts of plants and the Meals on Wheels Christmas Dinners had been much appreciated by the recipients. Arrangements for The Rotary North of Yorkshire Technology Tournament to be held at Catterick on the 4th. March are well in hand and to date 19 Schools are entered.
