Speaker Matt Kirby- Deep in the Forest of Borneo

Mon, Oct 8th 2007 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Owing to work at the usual venue, the club met at the Wheatsheaf in Carperby.

Three visitors from the Rotary Club of Upper Eden joined members to hear a fascinating illustrated talk by Matt Kirby, entitled Deep in the Forest of Borneo.

He described how, from1976 to the present, two cave systems in the Sarawak National Park had been explored and found to be a 152 Kilometre long continuous system. They were supported by the government of Borneo.
