Change for Change collection
Former Skipton Rotary President Judy Hazlehurst commented “Many of us have a small pile of foreign notes and coins lying in a drawer somewhere from a previous holiday or business trip that collectively could be used to raise funds for a worthy cause, so let us turn those unused coins and notes into improving peoples’ lives”. The first beneficiaries of monies raised will be “Aquabox” and End Polio Now.
Aquabox provides safe drinking water and humanitarian aid to people affected by natural disasters, extreme weather and conflicts. Millions of people around the world don’t have access to clean water for drinking, cooking or washing. A single Aquabox family filter can convert up to half a million litres of polluted water into safe, clean water – and give some of those desperate people the hope of a better life. Aquabox: clean water in a crisis.
End Polio Now fights for the total eradication of Polio throughout the world.
Change can be donated as either coins or bank notes and given in to Carling Jones Estate Agents at 68 High Street/Sheep Street, Skipton during normal office hours.
