Speaker meeting

Captain David Carter joins us again as our speaker, his subject this time is "Modern day piracy on the High Seas".

Our meeting on Wednesday 26th April will be at the Fountaine Inn, Linton at 5.30 for 6.00 pm. Our Guest Speaker will be Captain David Carter - Modern Day Piracy on the High Seas.

8th August Captain David Carter ‘All at sea’

After 32 years with Shell David became Captain of the LNG tanker ‘Mozah’. At nearly 164,000 tons she carries gas at minus 160C from Qatar to Europe, one load being sufficient to fuel the UK for 24 hours. Built in South Korea by Samsung, David spent 6 months helping to commission ‘Mozah’ and commanded her maiden voyage. A very polished presentation, full of mind boggling facts, by a very professional mariner.
