Philip Gordon: Global Sight Solutions


Philip Gordon is a retired General Practitioner and has been a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Pontefract since about 2000. He is a past president and I is currently their secretary.

Philip had an interest in eyes while he was still in practice and used to be a clinical assistant in an eye clinic where they did a lot of follow up work.
John Miles came to Pontefract club to talk about Global sight solutions which was intriguing because the model provides a permanent eye hospital to treat people in need and make a difference.
The Gordons had the opportunity to visit Kolkata last December on the way to stay with their younger daughter in Australia. John Miles would also be there and our paths would cross, so John Kindly arranged for them to see some of the local Rotary Eye hospitals.
This is a charity showing Rotary at it’s best.
