Community

Our Club, in its various guises, has operated a Charity Car Park for some 25 years thanks to the support of the Skipton B/Society.  During this time the Car Park has raised over £250,000 for distribution to local associations, clubs, schools, good causes and charities.  You can find application forms to download below. The car park is only staffed by voluntary club members and Friends of Rotary.

Some of the organisations recently supported include – Skipton Juniors Football Club, Linton Church, Skipton Step into Action, Brougham Street Community Nursery, Bradley Methodist Hall, Martin House Hospice, Skipton Refugee Support and Skipton Juniors Cricket Club.

The Car Park is just off the Bailey at BD23 1AT.  It operates from 10.00 to 18.00 between March/April and October.  It also opens for the Town Christmas Markets and other events such as Bank Holidays, Yarndale and Sheep Day. The current charge is £3 per day.

The car park will re-open Saturday 23rd March 2024.

Vocational

Our work includes Mock Interviews for school leavers and students.  External visits to local businesses.

Environment

Our Club has been involved for over 30 years in bulb planting, care of the town gateways (jointly with our fellow Rotarians in the Skipton Craven club) and our annual Eco Day event.
