YOUTH AND SCHOOLS PROGRAMME
The Rotary Club of Settle sends warm greetings to all the schools and pupils in the North Craven area and invites them to participate in a range of enjoyable and rewarding youth activities.
Some of the activities originate locally but most are advertised by our Rotary organizations at District and National levels. They sit comfortably alongside school curriculums and seek to celebrate the talents and achievements of young people.
For youngsters aged 7 - 18 we are sponsoring or supporting this year a range of activities comprising
events and competitions
Ideally, it is preferred if pupils' participation is undertaken via their school. However, in the case of the Young Artist and Young Writer competitions, we will be pleased to receive independent entries from schoolchildren if their school is not organizing entries for their particular class or age category. In addition, the Settle Saunter event is open to the general public and youngsters can take part either with an adult or with parental consent if aged 16+.
For a summary of each activity and to obtain access to further information please click on the activity above.
We hope that all schools and pupils will find something to interest them and will take part in the activities available.
We are very happy to provide practical help if needed or supply further details. If a speaker is required this too can be arranged. To contact us about anything in the Programme simply use the 'Contact Us' tab above or telephone Bob Hargreaves, Youth Activities chairman, on 01729 825880
Expressions of interest are welcomed though not essential. We hope to hear from you soon.
