Total payments to local, national and international good causes in the year to June was over £25,000.
The club has supported several water projects in Nepal, in partnership with the Palpa Trust. The trust helps rural schools in Nepal, drinking water projects are undertaken for both communities and schools. See www.thepalpatrust.com
A recent project supported by Cupar Rotary Club itself is in Uganda, this being a water project to provide a borehole. The project will support the provision of a water pump and basic distribution system from an existing borehole (see the Foundation page for photo).
ShelterBox - the club has paid for several survival ShelterBoxes, these are boxes containing tents and cooking equipment for families or groups of people up to 10. These are sent to disaster areas e.g. Syria, Haiti after the earthquake. See www.shelterbox.org
End Polio Now - a multi-million project of Rotary International in partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to eradicate polio worldwide. See www.endpolio.org
