If your child has a passion for chess or darts, or is curious to
give it a go, this is a great place to start, with The Rotary Darts
and Chess Academy…
What is Rotary Darts Academy?
Rotary Darts Academy offers a structured, safe and inclusive space where young
players can learn the fundamentals of the game. From how to hold the dart properly
to throwing with consistency, darts at academy level is all about building strong
foundations and having fun while doing it.
We believe darts is more than just a game, it’s a sport that builds focus, patience,
coordination and community. Our new Darts Academy is our offering, designed to
give children and young people a safe, structured and fun introduction to the world of
darts.
At Rotary Darts Academy, sessions are led by an experienced dedicated player,
which means every child benefits from expert instruction and proven techniques
used by the pros.
We welcome all children, no matter their background, experience or ability. Everyone
starts somewhere and everyone is welcome.
What is Rotary Chess Academy?
Rotary Chess Academy offers a structured, safe and inclusive space where young
players can learn the fundamentals of the game. Rotary members are planning to
sponsor tournaments and collaborating with chess academies to expand access to
the game, recognizing it presents a pathway to educational advancement,
connection, and potential prosperity for the communities they serve
Meanwhile, more people, especially parents, are coming to view chess to improve
academic performance, decision making, critical thinking, and memory skills.
Many of the young players will improve their grades at school. In India, where the
game is so popular, it is recorded that students as young as 4 seemingly can recall
every move of those top matches.
Today, chess remains a prized tool for building resilience and fortitude. On the
chessboard, one wrong move can change the game, but chess teaches you how to
defend, to stay calm, to learn, and to fight back with focus. These are all skills that
can resonate far beyond the chessboard and have the power to change the
trajectories of not only individual lives but entire communities.
Generally – Darts or Chess
